5 months old!
Sweet Henley is 5 months old! She is such a happy girl, and for that, we are very thankful! Here are some things she is up to these days:
Weight: not sure... I'd guess maybe 13 lbs??? But to find out what she weighs, I'd have to weigh myself first, and that's just not happening right now.
She eats 5 times a day and has between 5 and 6 ounces of formula at each feeding. We'll be starting rice cereal soon.... if she's anything like her sister, I know how that will go!
She's sleeping from around 8pm-7am. Some days she will wake up before that, but the paci will put her right back to sleep. She naps randomly...poor second child! If we are home, her afternoon nap is definitely the longest.
She still isn't rolling over. She couldn't be any closer, so we've been practicing on the bed. I push down to allow momentum to roll her over, so she can get the hang of how it feels. It might not work, but since she's later than her sister on this, I feel like we need to work on it a bit. But I know she'll do it when she wants to. She still HATES tummy time. Like...it's miserable (for everyone involved!). I'm wondering if it's her reflux that makes it uncomfortable, but I feel like it shouldn't be a screaming fit still.
She loves to bat at all the objects on her playmat. She loves to chew on anything. She'll grab my finger and stick it in her mouth as quickly as she can. I'm hesitant to say it's because she's teething since Harper didn't get teeth until 13 months. So we'll see where all this chewing leads.
She loves people! If you talk to her, she's going to smile like crazy.
She still has blue eyes and very blonde hair. It is so weird. Everyone comments on it.
She'll be going on her first flight next week. I'm taking the girls to visit my mom because her school is doing Beauty and the Beast for their spring musical, and I figured 2 hours of being at the airport and the flight sure beats 6-7 hours in the car. Let's hope I'm right!
