A busy weekend...

We have had a great weekend. Corby's parents came in town for a visit. On Friday morning I took Harper to the doctor where she was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia. It is thankfully something that doesn't cause any pain, even though it looks like it would hurt! It will hopefully go away within the next year, but if it doesn't, Dr. H said the surgery is very minor to fix it. That afternoon, Harper spent the afternoon with her grandparents while I enjoyed lunch and a mani/pedi with Mare. She was off work, so we took advantage of some one-on-one time together. Harper slept the whole time that I was gone and then was so happy that afternoon. I was glad that Corby's parents got to see a happier side of her since Saturday proved to be a sad day for Harper. She just didn't nap well on Saturday, so I'm pretty sure she was simply tired. I felt sorry for her! But a day that you don't nap well translates to a night that you do sleep well (9:15p-4:30a, ate, slept until 8)! Today, we are just relaxing. I think that Corby is going to take Harper to hang out with Matt and Saylor this afternoon, to give Erica and I some time to ourselves. I'm pretty sure they are planning on doing this fairly often. I'm excited to see what that time becomes as the girls get older. I think it's going to produce such a special relationship between the 4 of them! I'm also looking forward to a few hours to myself.... I have high hopes of going to the gym for the first time since Harper was born.... but we'll see if I end up doing that! :)

Here is Harper's birth announcement. I ordered it yesterday from my friend, Catherine (polkadotspaisleys.blogspot.com). She and I led a cell group together in Fayetteville, so I think it is so special that she was able to make Harper's announcement. She is extremely talented!!!
I highly recommend her for any of your paper needs!
