It's a girl!!!

We had our gender sonogram and anatomy scan last Thursday. Going into it, I was really nervous. I've had way too many people tell me I don't look pregnant...and it just got into my head. Obviously I knew I was pregnant, but I convinced myself that something was wrong. I talked so much about it to my mom that she was so worried too! She was packed and ready to go to Nashville to help my sister, but packed extra clothes in case she had to fly to Dallas. I created quite a mess with my ridiculous pregnancy brain!!! I also hadn't felt any movement yet, and I figured that should've happened by 19 weeks. Well, thankfully baby girl is perfectly healthy! My placenta is anterior, so that's why I'm not feeling her....although I'm pretty sure I felt a kick a couple of times today! Harper is really excited about her baby sister. She really wants to name her Lauren....so we bought her a baby doll to name Lauren. Thankfully that has worked! A name is coming....we just haven't had much time to talk about it. We are so excited about another sweet girl! My sisters are my best friends, so my prayer is that Harper and little sister grow up feeling the same way about each other!

Going to the chapel....

My 88-year-old Gran-D got married on Memorial Day weekend... and it was so great! I don't have too many pictures but I know the photographer got a ton! My new grandpa is one of the most precious men I've ever met! I had such a strong love for my Papops, but he passed away 17 years ago, so I am just so happy that Gran-D has a companion! They knew each other in the late '40's and shared a duplex when they were young marrieds. He and his wife moved away, but she passed away last summer, and I think Gran-D's sympathy card is what brought her back to Bob's mind. Their wedding was so special. My brother-in-law officiated it, and he did such a great job! He honored both of their previous spouses, which I'm sure made Bob's children really happy... as I'm sure that day was both happy and sad for them. Harper, Eliana, and one of his great granddaughters were the flower girls, and they did a great job. The reception was at the church and was very low-key. The cake was delicious, which is all that really matters, anyway...right?!?! Then the newlyweds headed out for a short honeymoon to Eureka Springs! They had a great time! We're so thankful that Gran-D now has a companion and friend to keep her company...and for her to boss around! :)

Oh, these two! They gave Gran-D away...it was so sweet!

 Reciting their vows!

 Aren't they so precious?!?!?

Heading out! When Bob got in, he revved the engine a few times!
It was hilarious!

A girl and her bike

We got Harper a bike a few weeks ago, and she's loving it! She picked out a strawberry shortcake one, even thought I don't think she really knows who that is! It has taken her a while to get the hang of it, but she's getting better each time she tries. She claims it makes her legs too tired...so it will be a while before the bike is mastered!!!

Mother's Day...a little late!

I had such a great mother's day! Harper handed me this paper on Saturday night, so I had a lot of decisions to make!

I chose donuts for breakfast because I didn't want to be overly full so early in the morning. I also got to sleep in (something I get to do every weekend) which was great...especially because I had a miserable cold. I let Harper choose lunch, and of course, she chose Potbelly. Then we went to see the movie, Chimpanzee. It was so sweet! After the movie, Harper and I enjoyed a manicure.

Since I knew our dinner would be filling, I chose dessert before church! So we enjoyed some yogurt after our manicures. While there, Harper called her grandmas, and this picture was when she was talking to my Gran-D. It cracked us up!!!

Our evening ended with dinner at Benihana, and it was delicious!!!! I love every single part of that meal. Our table mates were especially entertaining this time, so that made for a funny evening!!! It was a great day with my favorite people! They sure spoiled me!!!

Last Day of School

Harper had her last day of school today. We are both going to miss it this summer. 😊 She had such a wonderful teacher this year. Not only did she invest well into Harper, but she was very interested in my life too. She provided so much encouragement, tears, and hugs as we had Taylor and eventually said goodbye to her. She has also prayed many prayers for Mare and baby Olivia. I am beyond thankful for Mrs. Gigi...the Lord knew she needed to be in my life this year. We will miss her next year but are looking forward to a great year with Mrs. Barb. We love Jubilee Junction!!!

TICKED...

If you know anything about my family, then you know my sister is sick. She has been REALLY sick with Lyme disease for several years now. Recently, my niece Eliana, had terrible seizures and then later was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Yes...another tick disease. It honestly seems like a sick joke that this could happen to one family. Insurance companies don't recognize Lyme as a chronic disease (even though it clearly is!), so they only cover your first antibiotic. So needless to say, with Lindsey's illness and Eliana's hospital bills, the Wheelers could use any help they can get. Lindsey set up a give forward page, and I have been praising the Lord each time I check it to see a higher total. I know there are people who would love to help but simply can't... but for those who even have an extra $10 this month, I know one family who would be forever grateful to you. And if you're unable to give, then please consider adding them to your prayer list. Thanks in advance for helping out my sister.

The Princess Party

For the end of the year celebration, Harper's dance studio has a party. They call it the Princess Party, and Harper had a great time. She thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake, as well as mine...no I didn't give her both, but when my back was turned talking to another mom, she took the opportunity to devour mine. I thought it was pretty hilarious! Each girl received a medal when they walked in, and Harper wore hers with pride. We had such a fun time together!

Sitting with her sweet friend Saylor!

Enjoying her cupcake

At the end, Ms Tammy told all the girls to join her on the stage...such a brave woman!

You can sort of see Harper because of her blue bow. She sat perfectly still...I was quite impressed!
