4 years... still going strong!

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary! I love thinking back to our wedding day... it was absolutely perfect! My dad did an amazing job with the flowers, the food was wonderful, my bridesmaids looked gorgeous, and no one pulled any pranks (Thank you, Flint!). Joe White, our "boss" from K-2, performed our ceremony and spoke the most perfect words. It was such a fun day! I am so thankful that the Lord brought us together 7 years ago. Who would've known that my partner for a game at kamp would one day become my husband. And yes, I know I just spelled camp with a "k"... thanks to my years at Kanakuk, old habits die hard. 

It is an absolute blessing to be married to Corby. He leads our family in a Godly manner... always pushing us closer to the Lord. He is such a faithful and passionate man. Whether it is at work, being a husband, being a dad, or simply watching sports (both very faithful and passionate to that silly Tide!), he is amazing at what he does. I can't imagine what life would be like without him! I love him more than words could ever express. Here are a few pictures from our wedding. Yes, they are pictures of pictures... Nature Girl

Every morning around 8am, you can find us on a blanket in our front yard. We do it every single morning... except when it rains, of course. It has become such a fun part of our day. We see the same joggers every day. I love it! It has become even more fun now that our neighbors are walking their kids to school at that time. I know it's pathetic that we've lived here almost 3 years and are just now meeting some of them... but that's what happens when you live in a neighborhood with alleys. 

Harper has such a fun time rolling around, playing with toys and bubbles, and listening to some of her favorite books. I'm looking forward to cooler weather, so we can do this more than just once a day! Here are some cute pictures of Harper enjoying her time outdoors... yes, she is still in her pajamas. I keep them on her to prevent mosquito bites... it's quite effective!

The Big 3-0!!!

Today is Lindsey's 30th birthday!!! I know that Chris is making it the best birthday yet, but I definitely wish I could be there to celebrate with her! She is such an amazing person and deserves to have the greatest day imaginable! Happy 30th Birthday, Lindsey!!!! I hope that you have a fabulous day!!! I love you so much and miss you like crazy! 

Happy Birthday, Lake!

Today our sweet nephew Lake turned 2!!! We wish we could be there to celebrate, but thankfully we're going in a few weeks, so it won't be long before we finally get to meet Maddox and play with Lake! 

We've had a wonderful weekend! Our amazing friends, Mare and Reid, watched Harper all weekend for us! On Friday night we went to a home group leader retreat for our church and stayed in Frisco at the Embassy Suites. We had a great time with some of our friends and were able to relax a little. I did sleep so hard that when I woke up, I had sheet marks all over my face and arms. In fact, I slept so hard on my face that I still have an indentation in my mouth from a  tooth pressing into the side of my mouth. Who knew that could happen?!?! I don't remember the last time I slept all the way through the night and in one spot... it was marvelous! Then on Saturday we went to the Omni hotel in Fort Worth. It is brand new and was beautiful! We spent our afternoon at the pool, ate some great mexican food for dinner, and enjoyed some ice cream. We were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary all in one weekend. Sadly I don't have any pictures... I am so bad about that when we are out doing fun things! Today we had my birthday lunch, came home to sweet Harper, rested this afternoon, enjoyed Snuffers for dinner, and I heart yogurt for dessert (yes, I'm still obsessed!)! We are SO thankful that our friends gave us such a special weekend together. I hope that you had a great weekend too!!!

We had such a fun lunch today with my friends Mare and Erica. Since Mare is in Dallas this week, she had us all over. It was a great time! Thankfully, Harper and Saylor entertained themselves while we ate, so that we could actually have adult conversation. They might have been quiet because it was actually prayed for before the meal... ask and you shall receive, right?  Anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed a wonderful meal! I put Harper down for her nap, and she went along with it, like she always does. Our routine is that I turn on her music, put her in bed with her paci, rub her hair a little and then she's usually out. It really has become that simple... or so I thought. She was being pretty quiet, so I turned on the monitor, and this is what I saw...

Looks like somebody has learned how to completely roll over in her crib. She was as pleased as could be that she had finally done this. It was fine for a while, but since there isn't enough room for her to roll back to her back, she became very frustrated. I put her back on her back, left the room, turned on the monitor, and there she is again... back on her tummy, screaming bloody murder! She has no idea how to fall asleep on her stomach. She had finally worn herself out so much that when I went in and rolled her back, she fell right to sleep. This will hopefully be short term... oh wait, I just turned on the monitor and look who rolled over in her sleep and is now awake... yes, that would be Harper. But it appears she might choose to just sleep on her tummy. Sleeping just got a lot more interesting! 

Putting it all together...

Harper has been rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy for a while now, but she has finally put it all together! The play mat was fun while it lasted, but now I can't keep her on it! I just love how much she is moving!!! Here are some pictures a videos of her latest accomplishments! Enjoy!
