2 months old!

Henley turned 2 months old on December 26th. Sure, I'm nearly 2 weeks in posting this, but I did take her monthly picture on time, so that should count for something! She also had her appointment the next day.

Her stats:

Weight: 8lbs 2 oz (5th percentile)
Height: 21 1/4 in (12th percentile)
Head: 37.5 cm (25th percentile)

At 2 months she was waking only once in the night to eat, and that has now changed to SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! Of course, I helped with this by just giving her a paci in the night, but it worked, so I think it was a great idea!

The last few weeks she has been rather fussy, and I just thought she was tired all of the time, because she does sleep a lot... but it turns out, she was just hungry. She went from the 10th percentile at 2 weeks to 5th, so her doctor was slightly concerned. After some feeding issues, I was told to pump for a day to see how much I produce. Yep...not a lot at all! So I'm now doing all that I can, but we had to start supplementing with formula today because I didn't have very much frozen at all. I will continue to work on my supply because I'd prefer her to get breastmilk a little longer with flu season being so terrible this year. Harper was on formula pretty early on, so I know it won't affect Henley negatively, but I also want to protect her the best way I can during flu and rsv season. But as the lactation consultant said today... you can only do so much, so do what you can but don't stress yourself out. So now she is drinking 5 oz, every 3 hours. I expect she will gain weight much better now, and she'll hopefully be back to the 10th percentile by her 4 month appointment!

She is smiling so much and cooing a lot too. She usually wakes up about 30 minutes before Harper, so I love this time together. I feed her and then she just smiles and smiles at me...like I'm the greatest human in the world.

Now that we have figured out the food issue, she has been so much happier. It makes me sad that she was simply hungry all along. Talk about a mom fail!

Before those awful shots...
honestly, Harper was the saddest about the whole situation!
