Step 1...complete

Thankfully someone came out to remove the water heater...so at least the water has stopped saturating my carpet. But oh my word, the smell...it is AWFUL! I'm doing my best to try to salvage it...but I think it might be a lost cause. And unfortunately, Corby's coworker can't fix the floor until Thursday evening, so the new water heater will be installed on Friday. But he will be much cheaper than hiring a carpenter...so that's the price we have to pay! Here's my attempt at drying things out...this area is only a small portion...but I can only dry one section at a time!

Oh Lauren, I am so sorry!!! I know how it feels. We recently got struck by lightening and there were about four different people who had to come out to the house to fix four different things. Oh the joys!
